Taiyaki

A Sweet Treat and a Gentle Reminder

Yesterday, a friend gave me a beautiful placemat she hand-stitched, and another friend gifted me a Taiyaki. It wasn’t my birthday or any special day, but somehow it felt like one.

The Taiyaki sat perfectly on the new placemat, and as I looked at them together, I felt deeply blessed and loved. These little gifts weren’t just things—they were warm reminders of care and friendship.

It also made me wonder—am I caring for others the way they care for me? Maybe not always. But I’m thankful for these moments that quietly nudge me to be better. To be more thoughtful. And to appreciate the people who fill my life with quiet kindness.
