Sakitsu Church, a place deeply connected to the history of Hidden Christians in Japan.
What moved me most was the interior.
Instead of wooden pews, the floor is covered with tatami mats — a thoughtful design that allows Japanese worshippers to pray in a way that feels natural to them.
This church quietly tells a story of wisdom.
Not just about accepting a different culture, but about making the effort to adjust, adapt, and coexist.
It reminds us that true acceptance is not passive.
It requires care, creativity, and respect — lessons passed down from those who lived through much harder times than ours.
