Rooted in Tradition, Grown with Heart
At tea@japan, we believe the best tea doesn’t come from machines or factories—it comes from people. Our mission is to connect you directly to a passionate tea artisan in Inuyama, Japan, who has devoted his life to perfecting the art of tea.
This isn’t mass production. This is small-scale, hands-on farming rooted in tradition and respect for nature. Every tea leaf is grown with care, harvested with intention, and crafted with skill passed down through generations.
At the heart of tea@japan is a real person, a real farm, and a real story—shared with you, one cup at a time.

The Farmers Behind the Leaves
Our farmers are the heart of tea@japan. Many of them are multi-generational growers who have inherited not just land, but wisdom passed down through their families. They rise early with the sun, study the weather, feel the soil, and tend to their crops with an intuition that only years of dedication can bring.
When you sip our tea, you're tasting the stories of these people—their quiet strength, their deep respect for nature, and their unwavering pride in their work.

Craftsmanship at the Heart
At tea@japan, craftsmanship isn’t just a step—it’s the soul of everything we do. Each tea is carefully made by hands that know how to bring out the best in every leaf. From hand-picking to roasting, every step is rooted in tradition and done with precision.
Our teas are crafted in small batches by farmers who carry generations of skill. They don’t rush or compromise. Their quiet dedication is what makes each cup feel so special—and why we’re proud to share it with you.

Why We Started tea@japan
We started tea@japan with a simple idea: to make real Japanese tea more accessible to the world. We noticed that outside Japan, many people never get the chance to experience authentic, farm-direct tea. We wanted to change that.
By working directly with farmers, we remove the layers between you and the source. No middlemen. No big companies. Just fresh, high-quality tea made with love and shipped with care.

Why Inuyama?
Nestled in the rolling hills of central Japan, Inuyama’s rich red soil and gentle shifts between day and night temperatures give our tea its signature mellow aroma and deep, rounded flavor.
Our tea fields are cared for with traditional, earth-friendly methods—using straw, rice husks, and organic-based fertilizers to nourish the soil, and no pesticides since 2021. It’s tea grown with respect—for the land, the environment, and your peace of mind.
